2 Which information does Eurofins collect about me?
Eurofins may obtain information about you when you use this website.
The information we collect about you includes:

- search enquiries you make using our site search.
How does Eurofins collect information about me?
We collect information about you when you use our website or view content provided by Eurofins. Part of this information is automatically collected through cookies and stored in server logs. When visiting a password-protected page, this cookie is set so future visits to the page from the same browser do not require login. The cookie name is unique for each password-protected page.
hs-messages-is-open (TTL 30 minutes)
This cookie is used on the visitor UI side so Eurofins Central Laboratory can determine/save whether the chat widget is open for future visits. It resets after 30 minutes to re-close the widget after 30 minutes of inactivity.
hs-messages-hide-welcome-message (TTL 1 day)
When you dismiss the welcome message in your messages tool, a cookie is set to prevent it from appearing again for one day.
Consent banner cookies
__hstc
The main cookie for tracking visitors. It contains the domain, utk (see below), initial timestamp (first visit), last timestamp (last visit), current timestamp (this visit), and session number (increments for each subsequent session). (Expires: 2 years)
hubspotutk
This cookie is used for to keep track of a visitor’s identity. This cookie is passed to Eurofins Central Laboratory on form submission and used when de-duplicating contacts. (Expires: 10 years)
__hssc
This cookie keeps track of sessions. This is used to determine if we should increment the session number and timestamps in the __hstc cookie. It contains the domain, viewCount (increments each pageView in a session), and session start timestamp. (Expires: 30 min)
__hssrc
Whenever Eurofins Central Laboratory changes the session cookie, this cookie is also set. We set it to 1 and use it to determine if the visitor has restarted their browser. If this cookie does not exist when we manage cookies, we assume it is a new session. (Expires: None. Session cookie)
Performance cookies
These cookies collect information about users such as page load speeds, internet connection speeds, browser type, device type, screen size, etc. for the purpose of assessing the performance of a website and allowing its improvement. Once collected, the information is directly anonymised. They are set by a third party service called Google Analytics. 3.2 We collect information about you via third parties
We use Google Analytics’ 3rd-party audience data such as age, gender and interests to work with companies that collect information about your online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. 4 Sharing of information
Your personal data might be transferred to any Eurofins affiliates (which can be found at https://www.eurofins.com/).
Further, irrespective of type of information, ECL do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information about our website visitors to third parties except as described below.

- To third parties as part of a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy, in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including through bankruptcy).
5 Information transfer outside the European Union
Your personal data might be transferred outside the EU in case one of the recipients stated above is located outside the EU and only to countries for which:
- the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (which guarantees that an adequate level of protection of personal data is offered in that country);
- appropriate safeguards have been provided, such as standard data protection clauses.
- is required, and approved by the ”Sponsor” for the purposes of conducting the contracted activities in support of the clinical trial or project.
6 Your rights to personal data
You have the right to ask for:
- accessing your data;
- rectifying your data;
- the portability of the data you provided to us;
- restricting the processing of your data;
- erasing your data.

For type 1 information, ECL shall act in accordance with applicable legislation, and with regard to the instructions of the ”Sponsor” should requests pertaining to section 8 be received.
